The EVAL-LTC9101-2A kit comprises the DC3159A-D daughter card and DC3017A-B motherboard, integrating one LTC9101-2A digital controller and four LTC9102 (12-channel) analogue controllers to realise 48 PSE channels. The LTC9101-2A employs a proprietary isolated data interface, enabling direct connection to the host I²C bus without requiring costly optocouplers or additional 3.3V isolation power supplies, significantly reducing system BOM costs. This kit version supports power evaluation for up to 48 802.3af/at powered devices (PDs) via a dual-port Ethernet splitter, with host I²C control required for 2-pair power assessment.
