[ADI] LTC4217 — 2A Integrated Hot-Swap Controller
1. Overview: The LTC4217 is an integrated solution for hot-swap applications, enabling circuit boards to be safely inserted into and removed from a live backplane. The device integrates a hot-swap controller, a power MOSFET and a current-sensing resistor into a single package to meet the requirements of miniaturised applications.
The LTC4217 provides independent inrush current control, as well as an accurate (5%) 2A current limit and current clipping protection. The current limit threshold can be dynamically adjusted via an external pin.

[ADI] LTC4224 – Dual-Channel, Low-Voltage Hot Swap™ Controller
1. Overview: The LTC4224 dual-channel, low-voltage Hot Swap™ controller enables the safe insertion and removal of circuit boards from a live backplane. It utilises external N-channel MOSFETs to control two power supplies and can operate normally with one power supply as low as 1V (provided the other power supply is 2.7V or higher). The LTC4224 is capable of ramping up the supply voltages in any order and at an adjustable ramp rate.

Controls load voltages from 1 V to 6 V
No gate components required
