The Microchip VSC7427 is the industry’s first fully integrated 26-port Gigabit Ethernet (GE) managed Layer 2 switch, incorporating 12 copper PHYs within a single BGA-672 package. Utilising advanced 65nm SimpliPHY™ technology, this chip is one of the most cost-effective and lowest-power solutions in the industry.

The VSC7427 is equipped with a powerful 416 MHz embedded CPU, supporting a full range of switch management functions. When paired with the 12-port PHY VSC8512 or VSC8522, a complete 26-port switch solution can be designed using just two ICs.

This product is suitable for a wide range of applications, including small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) switches, industrial IoT gateways, enterprise access equipment, 5G communications equipment, cloud computing data centres, autonomous vehicle electronics systems, smart grids and energy management.
