The chip utilises an internal digital signal processor to run calibration algorithms, enabling comprehensive digital compensation of sensor signals for offset, sensitivity, temperature drift and non-linearity. Calibration coefficients are stored in on-chip non-volatile EEPROM, ensuring high reliability with support for 100,000 erase/write cycles and 10 years of data retention.
The chip supports internal or optional external temperature compensation, providing a corrected temperature output via either an internal temperature sensor or an external temperature sensor, and is compatible with a variety of sensor topologies.
Flexible Gain and Interface Configuration
The ZSC31014 offers eight programmable analogue gain settings (1.5 to 192 times). Combined with the digital gain feature, this enables adaptation to various resistive bridge sensors with a bridge range below 1 mV/V and significant offset.
